Challenges of living in Two Cultures.

Living in a lower income country, with so many needs around us, we have learned to simplify life. Possessions are limited to the essentials. Our typical activities are based on relationships, rather than on acheivement, comfort or entertainment. Suddenly thrust into the whirlwind of Western culture tends to throw our hearts into some confusion, as we realize people's schedules are already packed full of activities, with maybe an hour for us. We have so many relationships that we would like to build upon, but so little time to divide between everyone!  

We miss everyone in Uganda when we are here in the US. We miss everyone in the US when we are in Uganda!  Our heart longs for the space between to evaporate, and our two lives to join in whatever way possible. Photos, videos and visits from friends are so helpful! Facebook has helped as well, at least to give a little mutual affirmation occasionally. 

Please pray for our time management, as well as contentment in the relationships that we are able to maintain, as well as in those which may not have enough opportunity for investing ourselves in.
